I **** link exchange programs, banner exchanges, etc. They all do no good. People just click on my site to up their own credits, spend 5 seconds on my site, and then never come back. To me, those programs are a waste of time. Other webmasters will know what I mean.

Where can I find a cheap/free place to advertise w/o any strings attached? Or where can I find a QUALITY link exchange program? All the ones I’ve tried have been crap.

Right now, being a traffic-newbie, all I can think of is:
Billboards, Television spots, etc, all of which are: expensive.
The least expensive the idea is, the better it will be, so lets get a list going!
